Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Anyone using these tires on their 996? I'm really unhappy with my ContiSports, and I've put about 16K miles on them so it's time for a change. I'm in the Northeast so a tire that's good in the rain is helpful. Thanks, Rob

POST 2Original post

What sizes would you be using? They are strictly made in Ferrari sizes none of which really works on a 996. I have experience with these tires and I can tell you they are extremely dry performance oriented. Much noisier and less comfortable than most tires you've known too.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Viken, I guess I was thinking of the Goodyear F1 GS-D3 which should fit the 996. Same size as the standard 18" C4S Wheels I have since I'm not changing my rims. Any recommendations?

POST 4Original post

riad - take a look at the Potenza RE750. These are great dry and wet traction tires.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I definately will thanks. My 2001 had the Pirelli PZeros, and although I liked them I went through tires like **** through a goose... they must be very soft tires. I'll check out the Bridgestones, thanks.
