Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

My experience with warranty companies is that they research the problem first to see if it falls within any of their exclusionary language, then they check available records like DMV etc looking for a way out of having to pay....and I would be a little worried that they might cry foul if they found that you are really a resident of Calif....but have a rental property in another state.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

No experience with these folks but they have been highly rated...
I'm not endorcing just informing!
They don't offer any coverage for California residents. I f you go to their online quote section, you fill in a few facts and after you click on "continue" you get a message that says they don't offer this policy to California residents.....but they're working on it. Open ended statement with no clues as to when it might be offered in CA.
When I went in to get a instant quote. I put in my model year of 2001 and then went to pull down the make and it does not offer the 996 model. It only pulls up boxsterr and boxster S cars. Most of them don't like to cover the 996 911's
California law makes it nearly impossible for Warranty Direct to offer any coverage in California. All extended warranty contracts must be sold by the dealer, and that's not how Warranty Direct works (or they would be named Warranty Indirect!). The California laws were put in place to protect consumers from fly-by-night warranty companies, but offer no way for legitimate companies to sell their services unless they are willing to work with the official dealerships.
I had warranty direct tell me a few years back that they do not offers policies on 99 996's. Maybe they were fibbing...but you would think it was truthful given the desire for contracts/profits.
that's absolutely right but you can get around that. i covered my Jag by giving a mailing address of a property i own in las vegas. i also could have used a friends address as long as it's outside CA. most of these companies give you nationwide coverage, so you can use it in CA.

Adjusters are there to protect the company first....then take care of you second if they cant' find a "no fairzees" reason to deny the claim.
yeah i was worried at first too but i think it's a good company. it's already paid for a new transmission and a new throttle body with not even sending out an inspector/adjuster. warranties4wheels is the company if i remember. i got four years, bumper to bumper, for $2400 (i negotiated).
