Suggestion

What you have to do is adjust for temperature: let air out on a hot day and put air back in on a cold day.

Suggestion

The tires heat up far less during routine driving so I wouldn't worry about them exceeding the maximum recommended pressures.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Seems like these pressures cold plus 90 degrees would increase tire pressures to an unsafe level. Any thoughts on this ?

POST 2Original post

I started out with these pressures on the stock Rosso's during a DE where the air temperature was over 90 degrees (track temp?). The tires heated up but stayed under the maximum recommended pressure. The tires heat up far less during routine driving so I wouldn't worry about them exceeding the maximum recommended pressures. I've reduced the tire pressures a bit to get a better street ride and then adjust them at the track after they get some heat into them.

POST 3Original post

I've found that 44 is kinda high for the rear...I'm somewhere around 38-40 R and 32-34 F

POST 4Original post

Porsche recommends 36/44, I would not go lower than 32/40.

POST 5Original post

It makes no difference whether it's -40F or +30F - 36 is 36 regardless remember studying gas laws in physics at hugh school? What you have to do is adjust for temperature: let air out on a hot day and put air back in on a cold day. I run F32/R40 all year round and check my air pressure every time I fill up.
