Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I picked the car up last week 01 996 C2 Cab Tip
Do you guys(and ladies) like the spoilers? Arent they a but pimpy.
The car had only 25.000 km, nicely loaded with option PSM, PCM, etc etc
Now I need to find a new home for my 97 boxster, (which has 350.000km)
Regards
Ronny
You have the factory cab spoiler -- not pimpy at all. It looks perfect!
Where in Belgium are you located? (Your car has Belgian plates, no?) I spent a lot of time in Brussels. Lovely city, great beer and
moulles et frittes
!
Ronny - don't worry about the looks. The car will look way better once you take off the hard top. I've got the same rear spoiler and it actually looks great when you drive it convertible.
Can't resist to react to the Belgium comment.
Yeah - great beer and food, but also great taxes.
I left Belgium when I was in my late twenties. Was taking home about 35% of my gross by then. The only places I am willing to consider living in are Switzerland and the US, which are exactly the countries I'm hopping in between
I don't mind sharing with others, but I hate robbery.
H guys,
Thx for the encouraging comments, the car starts to grow on me and I like it better now. Havent had an opportunity to take the hardtop of, since its cold and wet here. Terrible weather these days.
Regarding Belgium I live in Limburg and yes Yves I must agree with you they rob us, take our last penny. Running a business is a nightmare, instead of encouraging us they just look for ways to steal our hard earned money. Unfortunately I am stuck here because of the family otherwise I would have left long time ago.
Take care
Ronny
well limlander...you found a great write off!
I am from The Netherlands....and we always thought of Belgium as a tax haven..for Dutch people...guess that is long gone.....didn't leave Europe for Tax reasons, but because I can't stand the socialist mentality....if you work hard you get nailed by the government...but if you are a big loser, they help you in every which way they can....
Sorry about the little rant....love you P..and the spoilers make it look great (agree without the hardtop).
The car is looking good and will surely be great with the top down. Now we have to start praying that you'll be able to get it down this year. Just got back from a short break at the Lago Magiore, the contrast couldn't be any bigger. Here we have 10C, rain and wind.

Sweet fancy moses! You have 350,000kms on your boxter?!! That's incredible! How's the compression on the motor?
And your 996 looks great! can't go wrong with Factory Pieces.
De-Ad
Yep got 355.000 on the Boxster, actually I was planning on sending it to Ruf and get an engine transplant, but then this 996 is to good an oportunity. Compression is still were it should be and the engine does not use one drop of oil. And before you ask, yes its been driven like a p-car should be driven, like a women slow when cold and giving it a good shove when hot, and I live near Germany so I have had plenty of opportunities to let her run.
Mind you and now all the 996 owner will disagree, give the Boxster the same BHP's as a 911 and it'll be a major thread to the sales of the 911. I like the 996 for being bigger, roomier for the better power. But the Boxster was/is in my mind more flexible to throw around bends. And the boot at the back was oh so usefull.
The thing with the Porsche, the Boxster and now the 996 is that whenever you have parked her and are walking away, one allways looks over his shoulder and thinks "nice car" and then keep on walking. I have never ever had that with any other car
