In that case, I also understand that the problem was with the electric pump and controls.

regarding recaro or other "changes", just want you to know that here in italy the rule is: dont change/modify your porsche!

I have heard of people using mouse behind the back cushion for more support...I have the power comfort seats with the power lumbar support...Very comfortable....depending on how much money you wanna throw at the problem, you can try and find a used set of these seats, or a nice set of Recaro's will do the trick as well.....

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Yes. I have the same issue, and I found a great product on ebay.
Its a sturdy rubber bladder that will slip directly behind the upholstery cushion in the 996 seats (5 minutes install, max). It has a tube and rubber bulb (think "blood pressure") to inflate it to your comfort level. I leave the bulb on the floor of the back seat, completely out of sight. Holds pressure for weeks. I paid $35 for a pair (both seats), but current Pano has an ad for $30 with PCA discount.
Lumbar Eez
Not connected at all .... just a satisfied, former sore back, user.
Someone has already answered the Pano and PCA questions.
Installation is very simple:
1. place your hands behind the portion of the seat back that is between the side bolsters. This portion is attached only at the top and the bottom.
2. using one hand to keep the side opening clear, use the other to slide the bladder behind it.
3. adjust height as needed for your particular aching back.
4. pat seat back, back into position
5. sit down, and pump on the bulb until it feels great
6. close valve screw on bulb
I get the impression this bladder is very similar to the one Porsche discontinued as an OEM offering. In that case, I also understand that the problem was with the electric pump and controls. This simple installation eliminates that. Its not fancy to pump on the bulb .... but it works.

newport and kim, thanks again.
i had problem to translate the installing instructions (my bad english... eheh).
anyway, this seems to be the right solution for me.. and it's cheap.
regarding recaro or other "changes", just want you to know that here in italy the rule is: dont change/modify your porsche!
i mean, if needed, just add or modify with original parts! this will keep the value high in the future when a sale will be necessary.
so, any other "investment" is a kind of waste of money (im talkin about italian market).
all modifications such as rims, "strange" kits or.. whatever are not very much appreciated in the porsche community.
thanks..
I prefer rats!!
