they are the same part number as 996 as I am told as I looked into it before. I believe they need to be 30mm or 15mm shorter, I believe 30mm total with 15mm cuts in each end if you follow the other thread.

Then why was I told by Jeff at sunset that the gt3 ones are the EXACT part number as 996 necessitating me to buy shorter adjustable ones??? Unless his PET is wrong (unlikely), then they are the same-

yeah READ - that the shatz are MODIFIED 996 stock links that are 30mm shorter. He is the one along with Gert that told me how to cut them, although I bought TRG. Further your second link only talks about the rear bars. YOu DO NOT have to use a different drop link for the rear AT ALL. I went through all this when I bought mine a few years ago. PLEASE USE SEARCH

SPR, the 30mm shorter is the measurement i needed, i know that the rears do not need to be modified, the only ref. i made to the rears was for the bolt size, i never did mention anything about the length of the rears the title of te thread refers to length....length of the fronts.....
