Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Not my car but for a friends car. he cant figure out how to replace the spoiler and just called me?? I dont know either.. He said he couldnt even find the button to raise it to get to the bolts?? He just got it but it needs the rear lid replaced.. he's stuck right now.. any help is appreciated! thanks,

POST 2Original post

Down by your left foot. It is on the fuse box panel. It is a non-descript rocker swich that you can see without having to remove the cover.

POST 3Original post

To remove the rising portion you don't need to elevate it, it's all done from underneath. But, if you're not familiar with taking apart and re-assembling the elevator mechanism, you may want to rethink the diy as it's not that easy, I know I've done it a few times on mine.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

You dont have to raise it to change the rear lid? or you mean it doesnt have to be raised to swap the spoiler part of it only? My buddy who is doing it is very mechanically inclined..

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

or I thought he was.. thanks for your help everybody..

POST 6Original post

To change out the elevating spoiler, no you don't have to raise it. Are you guys trying to swap the entire decklid or just the spoiler?

POST 7Original post

OK what is the issue where is he getting stuck, the first thing to do is raise the spoiler, the second is to remove all the clips holding the folding rubber part that hide the internals of the mechanics..once thats off, you have acess to remove every thing, it is pretty tricky but take you time and it will make sense as you see it

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

spoiler is fine. the deck lid is being replaced. had a little damage to the rear.

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post
