Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I have owned the car for only 6 months or so and is used just for enjoyment when I find the time, but since my ownership I have changed a few things as well as sorted out any issues.

" Our reputation is worth more than a bad job and it was quicker to replace the hood than attempt to correct mistakes that have been on the car 3 weeks" said the manager of the company.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.
Rennlist: 1 discussions
0 evidence records excluded for query context · 1 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.
0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Hello
I thought it best to introduce myself even though I have posted before asking for advise and this does seem to be the forum that gets traffic moving without stagnant posts for days and days
.
I owned a 993cs 10 years ago and since then have been through many cars, Tvr, merc, audi, lotus etc. etc. And now I found myself with a little 996 sat in the garage.
I have owned the car for only 6 months or so and is used just for enjoyment when I find the time, but since my ownership I have changed a few things as well as sorted out any issues.
My car is a 2000 model so came with the plastic rear screen
The rear screen had become unbounded like so many and after googling so many options it would seem the only proper way forward was a complete new roof with glass screen.
I found a company that seemed without fault and spent the next 2 weeks deciding if I was brave enough to deviate form the existing safe black option
Well, I did and would like
to no if anyone else has been brave enough to see the light
Feel free to show your disgust but I do hope I am not the only 996 owner in the world to have a red roof
Cheers for the compliments guys, just to pick up on a couple of points the roof is the same material as factory and the interior is next on my list for a re trim with a red and black theme.
I like it too guys
. The job didn't go without its problems though.
The 1st guy I had to fit it assured me he had done this job before, it became quiet apparent after 5 hours he was either lying or having a bad day
.
The guy left ( paid up) and assured me the roof would settle in time. There were sags, bags, roof wouldn't close nor open correct and other faults due to bad fitting.
I contacted the manufacture of the hood hear in the uk (B.A.S) to ask if they would re fit my roof obviously not for free but as a paying job as there roof was without fault and the fitter had no affiliation to them.
To cut a long story short I tuck a day off work and drove the 150 miles to there workshop where they not only fitted my roof for free they replaced the previous roof for a new one
. " Our reputation is worth more than a bad job and it was quicker to replace the hood than attempt to correct mistakes that have been on the car 3 weeks" said the manager of the company.
Needless to say the fit and finish is as good as factory now and its nice to no there are some fantastic people out there that are willing to go above and beyond to help someone out
