Have to check the window sticker and see what it was called but there is a black and a cream leather combo with the black wood accents.

I also was intrigued by the use of grey/light beige on the pics I've seen of the Panamera interior (not two tone seats, but nice integration of the two colors).

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I was wondering if anyone had done a two-tone leather interior. AMG has done a burgundy/black and cream/black interior for years, and I know Audi now does a Cinnamon/dark grey combo as well now. I also was intrigued by the use of grey/light beige on the pics I've seen of the Panamera interior (not two tone seats, but nice integration of the two colors). I am debating something like this instead of refurbing the bolsters. I have a the space grey interior and it's a bit too cold for my tastes -- grey everywhere. Don't want anything loud or cheesy, but curious if anyone has pics of something similar -- perhaps the inserts done in a complimentary neutral or earth tone color to warm up the interior a bit, or even the gearshift/handbrake. Not a fan of wood trim, so really a lighter tone somewhere else would have to do. THX

When I was looking for my 996, I actually saw several that had light grey seats with dark grey inserts. It looked very good.

just the backrest insert or back and bottom both?

Thinking it would look better with both.

POST 5Original post

I did a grey and black interior in my 996CAB similar to my E class AMG interior. I absolutely love it and think it looks very sporty and breaks up the monochromatic look of the interior. For my CAB I ordered the interior in full leather grey and then after delivery I changed out several pieces over time to give it the look I was going for. Didn't cost too much to do it as I was able to sell many of the pieces I swapped out.

This sounds great. I miss the dual tone from my prior E55 Any pics you can post?

POST 7Original post

Give me a sec, I have to scroll through my iPhoto library............

POST 8Original post

Have to check the window sticker and see what it was called but there is a black and a cream leather combo with the black wood accents. Looks very sharp in my opinion. Not sure it was worth the premium but hey, that's what the wife wants

Nice Dell: When we purchased our E55 I tried to find one with the Burgandy inserts in the black interior but ended up with all black. r_: There was a thread not too long ago where someone posted a full red 996 interior...and I mean full red. IT was way over the top but then there were several other examples some of them good and some of them bad. I think you could piece together a subtle two tone interior in the 996 pretty easily and it would look really sharp.

The ones I saw had both inserts done in another color. I remember seeing one with black seats that had grey inserts, and one the other way around. The only cars that I saw with this combination were MK I vehicles. It looked sharp.

That's the idea. Thanks to all for the pics. Wanted to get a feel for how it would look since the rest of the interior would stay grey, save perhaps the armrest. The airbag covers might also be worth changing if that's possibly, but not sure if the leather inserts are large enough to merit changes.
