Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

So, my car is in the dealer for a new catalytic converter, dropped it off yesterday and they said it would be ready today.. just called and said they had the wrong cat. They offered to put her back together and get it back to me for the weekend but I told them just to keep it and they say it will be done Monday when the part arrives. I really wanted my car for this weekend since it will be some fine weather but that cat was rattling so bad it was driving me nuts!
Sorry.. just felt like venting... I get kinda attached to my vehicles.
At least my dog seems to like the Cayenne S loaner I have
There is a cars and Coffee I wanted to go to Saturday morning, cant take the 86 because it needs new Alternator belt that I have not gotten round to fixing.,, I guess Henry (my dog) and I can always head over in the loaner but it's not the same without a "real" Porsche.

OK, not to get off-topic (I feel your pain Marc!!), but that video made me think of a question I have:
You can only pull donuts like that with RWD, right? Can you even begin to smoke the tires like that in a C4? (I aint gonna try it! Yet.
)
I've heard you can put a C4 in RWD only, is this done simply by turning the PSM off?
Maybe I should just look it up in the archives. I'm going there now...
last month at the drivers day, I asked a guy with a rattle if it was his cats and he said "yup, been driving it hard, many track days and I just aint gonna replace it again"
"again" was what caught my attention
mind you only momentarily because just then something shiny distracted me
yup... though she might last 100k this time around...
the C&C is at Chatham?
Porsche uses a viscous coupling to marry the rear/front together 5-45% to the front wheels... this is the reason why the c4 drives very similar to a c2. The C4 is used for stability rather than AWD function.
