Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion

The rig simulates laps of the Nrburgring by running the engine through a program that replicates rpm while moving the motor up to 54 in any direction at a speed of 140 a second - enough to simulate 1.4 g of cornering, braking, or acceleration.

Except it cannot REALLY test forces for a corner, since this is limited to 1g magnitude.

Suggestion

Based on the engine strip down discussion - a test rig that could simulate G-Forces on the engine, and hence allow issues where oil flow or coolant flow are negatively impacted by said G-Forces, would be a rather useful tool for Porsche.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

16 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

I think its a marketing tool... cool stuff though.

Based on the engine strip down discussion - a test rig that could simulate G-Forces on the engine, and hence allow issues where oil flow or coolant flow are negatively impacted by said G-Forces, would be a rather useful tool for Porsche. I can see exactly why they built this - and it's not just marketing!

Except it cannot REALLY test forces for a corner, since this is limited to 1g magnitude. IE rotating it 45degs is not the same as a 1g lateral + 1g vertical = 1.414g magnitude. Obviously these measurements are worth something otherwise it wouldn't have been built. meh..

Well, apparently it does achieve a 1.4 g magnitude. According to Excellence magazine.... The rig simulates laps of the Nrburgring by running the engine through a program that replicates rpm while moving the motor up to 54 in any direction at a speed of 140 a second - enough to simulate 1.4 g of cornering, braking, or acceleration.

Holy crap, it's alive! Thanks for sharing, I guess they somehow pre-programmed throttle, shifting, braking, very cool sounds too.
