Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

14 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Saw this over at 6speed. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUVM7KooYUA If this does not prove that 996s are the best bang for the buck at current market prices; I don't know what is. Even with engines blowing up at will and all.

POST 2Original post

Yeah, the other day somebody asked me how old my car was. I had to check my math before I said "ten years old." Sure doesn't feel like it

POST 4Original post

I thought it was a good outcome for a 'dated' Carrera 2 against a newer Boxster. I'd bet anyone would be happy owning either Porsche. That said, I'm very happy with my 10 year old Porsche Carrera 2 and plan to stick with it .

Always hated that term. A Porsche is a Porsche. "A poor man's Porsche" should refer to a sports car that isn't a Porsche.

It would have been funnier it you had said "White Hondas were poor man's Porsches"

POST 12Original post

Given my repair costs, a Porsche makes me own a poor man's Porsche. Ahh, I remember my rich days when I owned a Civic.
