Like you say, as long as they fill the need and you dont have to replace or sell them, its only a state of mind (insanity - lol )

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

That is about right. Even a bit high for right now. I tried to trade my 99 C4, last weekend, and was offered 13K for it. Was told they would put it out on their lot for 18K. yikes! I only have 73K on the clock.
I can't even keep up with prices lately, but it looks like it has some kind of aftermarket suspension.
But I might hesitate buying a Porsche on Craigslist from a guy called "Jimmy."
looks like a nice car (and $5k less than mine only a year ago....) But I agree it wont sell at that price right now, no one wants a high miler like that... ask me how I know
LOL
Not really Boxster money, here you can get a 97 Boxster for $ 7,000

. When I think that I have a 99 C2 and my wife a 97 Boxster, bad, really bad.
I bought my 04 10 months ago, and have seen new car depreciation on it, it's sad... but buck up! So long as you don't need to sell your car
right now
, it's only pretend money- once the economy recovers, the resale value will, too.
This is a damned good time to BUY, though! The Corvette market is depressed right now, too, and there are great deals to be had everywhere. Anyone in the market for a 2nd car? 3rd?
It's nice to have 2 cars worth nothing (my other car is an 04' Suburban, yea, THAT thing is worth some bucks now!!)
Like you say, as long as they fill the need and you dont have to replace or sell them, its only a state of mind (insanity - lol )
Are you in the market for a 996 or are you simply here to bash them?
Try this, place your 993 for sale and see what type of offers you get.
P.S. I bet you'll be unpleasantly surprised.
I went into the BMW dealership looking at trading in mine. 99 996, 52K miles. $11.5 was the offer.
FWIW I know of a MB SL that a guy bought 9 months ago for 60K. They offered a trade of $35K.
It's not the 996, it's all luxury cars.
Right now cash is king. What ever you can do to buy a car without having to trade will get you a great deal.
BMW's are getting so many lease returns now they are dumping the 5 series cars at $20K(50K+ mi.)-$30K(20K+mi.).
That is a 2 year older car and miles ect werent mentioned.
Thin skinned? Why?
I am not bashing, just observing.
Well, as long as I can climb in and out the 993 will not be for sale. You are right though, I probably couldnt get more than $25k for it. Not that it matters.
I just bought an 05 Cayenne S because of the price slide.
$67K+ new , I bought for $30.5k with 19500 miles on the clock . Its a buyers market.
On the other hand , I still have my Sequoia. People keep offering me $9k. That isnt going to happen. I'll just drive it.
I dont think the OP is here to bash them, believe me, I would much rather see 996's trader higher. And honestly, 993's are selling and in the very high $20's and low $30's.
just keep your cars...13k that is pocket money and will only delay the foreclosure by about 2 months...LOL
Better to rent the P out for 200 bucks a day!
I sold my 2000 Boxster last April for 20K The first person that came and looked at it bought it. I guess that was just before the market started to slide.
