Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

28 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well I come home and guess what, My wife took the liberty in obtaining one for me as a surpirse Nice thought, but not what I had in mind. Looks like I will have to mount it, not to hurt her feelings.

POST 2Original post

It's kinda cute (uh oh, please don't start that business again ) ..... does it go up and down with the spoiler? If so, how would it look in the up position? Or, can you tell her it doesn't fit YOUR car due to some customization or option package she was unaware of?

POST 3Original post

Lee, you are smooth. Yeah, I think that one is for the cab, riiiight?

POST 4Original post

You could tell her that it was for the 993, and it was just mislabeled in the catalog. Show her a picture of a 993 with that spoiler . . .

POST 6Original post

Naw, he was just being gay . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . JUST JOKING. not that there would be anything wrong with that. I just noticed that Lee's original avatar is back and I keep laughing about the other SPR thread

POST 7Original post

Very nice thought by your wife...with questionable execution. Won't the body shop need to paint quite a bit of the car to get it to match as opposed to a stand alone wing?

POST 9Original post

Lee seems to be a really good guy, BUT the avatar is seriously strange!!!! :-)

POST 11Original post

uh oh! not this again.. Lee, At first I thought your pic was of the dude in that "Bring it on" movie, The happy finger guy..

POST 12Original post

It's no stranger then me on a minibike in full leathers in 100 degree florida heat..

POST 13Original post

I wish my avatar were stranger . . . at least it would be interesting. For the sake of clarification, my earlier joke was not directed at Lee or anyone else. Rather, it was merely a reference to the "Screw BFG" thread, which I found to be amusing on numerous levels. You can find it here: https://rennlist.com/forums/996-forum/204012-screw-bfg.html No offense intended to anyone. I am way too lazy to start fights here (or anywhere), or even to hold grudges. Life is too short . . .

POST 14Original post

I actually bought the same part on ebay out of curiosity (it cost $106). It is actually made by Roock and is a nice part. I will not be putting it on my car though.

POST 15Original post

Sorry, did I say that out loud? No offense. I would like to see an avatar of your car though. Sounds like you have it set up nicely.

POST 16Original post

Definitely for street, but to my liking for sure. Follow the links in my sig for pix

POST 17Original post

You absolutely have to use picture number 9 for your avatar!!!!!!!!!!! Love your black interior, wanna trade for my fugly grey interior???????????????

POST 18Original post

EEEEEEK. RJMDAD- Your car and mine are very similar with deep rear dish wheels. They deserve a tail much more than that one. Its the thought that counts though right? Break it to her easy........

POST 19Original post

(sorry for the thread jacking) Midnight Rider - which wheels & suspension setup are you running?

POST 20Original post

RJMDAD996 - I still think that will be a nice spoiler... when it GROWS UP! Sorry, man, I really couldn't help myself, I just HAD to say that! I owe you one! Have you figured out how not to mount it and how to get out of it without hurting her feelings? I guess you could buy her a dress that you know is waaaay too small, and then... nah, not a good idea! What's your next step?

POST 22Original post

In your attempt to mount said wing, you had an accident mortally wounding or severely maming it. I am not advocating lying to the wife. In your situation you are happy to have a wonderful wife who thinks of you and your car. I think you can mount the wing and make her happy and alleviate your guilt. This will also buy you some time to search for the perfect wing, you could the tell her you need more downforce in the rear or more cooling to the engine. A legitimate reason with a twist. The wing your wife got you is temporary. Since your wing dilema is solved could you please post some pics of your car with rear views of the wheels. 4" inches of lip sounds like it would look $hit hot.Thanks.

POST 23Original post

Just tell her you don't like it. Why run around with lies?! Ciao, Johannes E.

POST 24Original post

go buy her an expensive, but ugly dress or Bag....then when she says....uh, Honey I appreciate the thought, but it's not my style...say cool!! I feel the same way about the wing!

POST 25Original post

Sell it and get a carrera factory wing and tell her that, after painting, it looks bigger doesn't it. I'd put it on just to make her happy.

POST 26Original post

Just tell her that size really DOES matter!!!

POST 27Original post

Manye you could get two more and start a new trend....
