Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

You know when the movers are packing your personal goods in boxes and they fill the voids with paper so the stuff in the box won't shift around during transit?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

13 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm looking for feedback on protective headlight films like this one: http://www.griotsgarage.com/catalog.jsp?&SKU=10232 Comments?

POST 2Original post

If you have Xenons the manual says don't do it.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

You mean I'm actually supposed to read the manual??? Thanks for the heads up. I still may get them for track days. Anyone know if they can be taken off and then reapplied?

POST 4Original post

You know when the movers are packing your personal goods in boxes and they fill the voids with paper so the stuff in the box won't shift around during transit? Well, Porsche designed this car with a glove box, and there is nothing to put in it, so they invented the manual to fill up the void! Some car owners actually open the manual only to discover that there are WORDS printed on the pages. In very rare instances, some owners even READ the words! Go figure!

POST 5Original post

at least yours has a glove box.....I guess that means I'm not supposed to read mine

POST 6Original post

I have Xenon headlights and the full X-pel kit, which includes headlight film. I've had no problems and the film has done a great job protecting the front end of the car.

POST 10Original post

Ditto 3 years. I don't like the sctrches and swrils in my film, but I guess its better than on the headlight.

POST 11Original post

I have full Armourfend with the thinner headlight covering film. No problems, almost x1 year.

POST 12Original post

No problem with film, I have the clearbra. You don't want to know how much those headlights cost. Xenon actually is not hot so no yellowing of the film.

POST 13Original post

ditto on the cost of Xenons, I had the misfortune to have one crack by a flying rock. So, I inquired about headlight film and installed the yellow film but after the install I think I am going to try blue first, then clear. [IMG] [/IMG]
