i was thinking of getting rid of my alu gauges before i installed the rings, they really make a nice difference imo.

i am slowly removing the wood strip and will get it replaced with a carbon fibre strip.

I used two way tape, thin slices....works fine and no glue to mess with.

the whole centre rear console is leather, not that you can tell from my collection of pic's. the best perspective is the rear compartment cover with the 4S logo behind it. You can see the centre line stitch down the piece.
Everything except the side air vents and the defroster piece. I have a leather defroster piece i got on Ebay for $50. All leather with a wood insert strip the whole length. i am slowly removing the wood strip and will get it replaced with a carbon fibre strip. That suggestion came from my dtr!
spend some time fitting them before glueing them is my only comment.

i got mine on Ebay - prices vary by about $40 or so at most.
There are quality issues with the lower ends but i really don't know if anyone could tell in that cavern of an instrument pod.
I noticed the rear compartment cover, because mine is leather also, but with the "Carrera" logo embossed on it. I wasn't sure about the remainder of the center console. Is the part outlined in red (below) also leather? Sorry to be so daft
but I couldn't tell by the pic.
Lee, I had the trim rings and sent them back b/c the quality was substandard. Maybe from Eric they would be better. I got mine from Brandywine but I do not recommend.

I did the rings and the gauges also and really like the look. I think the alum accents in you car look hot. If you don't mind a suggestion....Alum pedal covers. Here are the ones I have.

Looks great. I did the Alum wheel as well. Not sure about that 4S logo affixed to the rear of the center console. JMHO though. Otherwise it looks fantastic!
Darnit! Now I want that leather stiched cover to replace me plain leather one.
yes the whole console, including the ashtray and E brake cover is leather. nice stitch down the middle and i will try for a better picture.
For the cost of mods, i would recommend the leather. it is even stitched in that off black, grey colour they use all through the car. It is a mod that really is best appreciated in person. The install is easy other than rebuilding the rear compartment components. That takes a little bit but no harding than like building a model as a kid.
if you have a Carrera logo than i would not buy Gert's stitched version. i tried for one of those covers but i guess they are only available at the time of order. The centre stitch is a nice 2 nd place imo.
Here is a pic of my cover with the Carerra log on it. The stitching is on either side of the logo. It is grainy because I sharpened it to better show the logo. Sorry for the poor quality of the pic, bad lighting, crappy camera and lousy photographer (me)!
i like that cover. I have also seen them with the crest just like the headrests. So, it looks like there are 4 versions of the compartment cover.
