Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So, it seems simple, but how are people holding the hub still to torque their OEM spacers to the hub? Normally when you torque wheel bolts you have the tire on the ground preventing the wheel/hub from turning. When you bolt the OEM spacer the hub I've got nothing to hold on to! I'm sure there's a simple answer and I'll feel like an idiot for not thinking of it... -Shawn PS--I guess a second person pushing the brake pedal would probably work...

POST 2Original post

How big are the spacers? It sounds like you are bolting them to the hub and then bolting the wheels to the spacer which is unusual for a factory configuration. I thought they were 5mm, 7mm or 15mm and used longer wheel bolts (i.e. were not bolted to the hub). When I did this with my 951, I snugged them all by hand and then hit them with my impact wrench at a setting that i guesstimated at 90 lb-ft.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

These are the factory 17mm spacers. They come with wheel studs already installed so you bolt them to your hub with your existing bolts. Then use the supplied nuts to attach your wheel to the studs. Here's a link to some pictures Logray posted when selling his set. I didn't buy them from him, but mine are identical/the same part. https://rennlist.com/forums/parts-ma...l-spacers.html

POST 4Original post

Have someone sit in the driver's seat and push the brake pedal down hard while you torque them. Of coarse you will want to do this while the car is on jack stands. Hope this helps.

POST 5Original post

Hmmm very cool. I guess the brake pedal approach is the right one.
