Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Anybody else notice that this cover makes the trunk space smell? Or is it just my cover that makes the trunk smell? The cover stinks

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I know right. I opened up the trunk to put away the spare after an unfortunate incident when i had to have a rim repaired after getting some tires mounted and noticed a terrible smell. I removed the spare tire cover from the trunk and noticed the smell went away. After putting the cover back on the spare and in the trunk it stunk again. It has a weird chemical slash/urine smell. Sorry, just wondering if anyone else has smelt this or if I truly have a rodent or some marsupial using it as a potty

POST 4Original post

Try spraying it with Fabreeze inside and out of that smelly cover. It usually neutralizes any odors.

POST 5Original post

No, that is not normal. Fabreeze will work, but it only covers up the smell. It doesn't clean away whatever is causing the smell. Maybe something got in there. The cover can be washed.

POST 6Original post

It might have been a drunk guy owned it before you and decided to take a whiz in the trunk one late night... Seriously though my cover doesn't smell like anything but since it's just canvas you should be able to fabreeze it like mentioned above to get the smell out. Good luck!
