Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I know that the balljoint can't be changed, but is it possible to change the dustcover to balljoint?? Or where to get those parts for best price?

POST 2Original post

You might want to give these a try. http://www.vertexauto.com/showitem.a...%20See%20Notes

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thank you Dharn, only problem with those, are the core charge. There is no point to ship the old one's back to USA. I mean that the shipping alone is that 100usd. Does anyone know the thread on that replace balljoint? If I only buy the joints and make the threads here...

POST 4Original post

You should be able to measure the threads from the ball joints themselves. Hopefully a local machine shop will have that size tap, although it is a very large size. here is another alternative: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PORSC...Q5fAccessories If you do a search on eBay you will find lots of new control arms with the ball joints, just search Porsche 996 control arm.
