Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Yah I'm using the black mats with red porsche lettering in a savanah sand interior or whatever its called.
Leading evidence: 'Use black mats' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Use black mats' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Greetings all.
After a year of reading posts, bugging friends, searching for the right car, & getting a blessing from my better half I've finally done it.
Picked up CPO'd 2004 996 with 26k miles in Chicago last week & drove it home to Kansas City that day. Finally got a chance to do some local/familiar routes and can't wipe the smile from my face.
Will do my best to attach some pics provided from the dealer. Great factory options, new rubber, recent service, new battery, new horn, & not one blemish on the body. Am really enjoying this!
Thanks all!
Re., CarFax & ownership. Yes, CarFax was included & I'm now the 3rd owner. 1st owner had for ~3k miles; 2nd owner until ~25k (& traded-in on late model turbo). CFax didn't show any maintenance, however, dealer had records from 2nd owner and what appeared to be a an original build sheet. 2nd owner really took care/maintained it meticulously. No major (rms/ims) issues, just a couple of small things (horn; tail light; etc.). Over-rev report, which I don't have in front of me, showed no stage 2 revs (which I think I understand enough to know that it never experienced a 'money shift'.
A couple of other things to mention. Has sports seats; Bose stereo option (which I actually enjoyed on the long ride home); switchable sports exhaust w/ stainless steel tips; litronic [sp?] xenons; & clear bra. Original owner chose most of the options I would have selected.
Am enjoying the
h-e-double hockey sticks
out of it and am fortunate to have found it when I did.
Nice find and get some floor mats real quick. Ivangene probably has good advise. I don't recall what mine are but they are the best and snap onto the seat tracks to keep them from floating around.
PS We be jammin' now
ops sorry. Couldn't help seeing the sound system installed.
Aloha PAC (we were in Kauai, HI a few weeks ago.. beautiful). I didn't mention before - already has Porsche 'embossed' mats! Really is a turn-key car - couldn't have asked for anything better.
Yah I'm using the black mats with red porsche lettering in a savanah sand interior or whatever its called. Some times thinking about you guys in winter is like you guys really got screwed.....well yah that weather over there is lousy with the islands to match up with. I've had my share of wondering if the weather would kill us. Wish you the best of cruising.
Nice car! That is definitively the best of the two aero kits. I hear you about the blessing of the better half... it makes all the difference in the world in enjoying your (her?) car!
Looks a lot like mine, except for the aero kit, and the sport seats.....and the Bose. Nice options.
No rear window wiper either
Those bug the hell out of me since most guys don't even drive their Porsches in the rain and they look tacked on and floppy. Personally I drive in the rain all the time and I've never missed a wiper..
But I digress.....I like your car, Arctic Silver is a *great* colour for these machines.
nice - I got mine from Napleton last week (I think it goes in an eclosed trailer today)!
how did they treat you? they were fantastic for me so far - I dealt with Bob (sales mgr)
Thanks Quickx! Aero, aero, aero...
Great car, PP. Re. Napleton. They treated me great. I'd originally contacted the sales manager, Bob, who put me in contact with a saleman named Geno. Spent about as much time on the phone w/ Geno as I did in person. He was straightforward and very responsive. Arrived in town & within an hour of arriving at the dealer I was driving home to KC. Everything was as advertised and my experience was satisfying. Was invited to their annual track (or somethingorother) event - they'd even provide me with a car if I were to fly in.
Wish I could have bought the where I live (dealer familiarity w/ car, etc.) but it just didn't work out that way. There's a large dealer in KC, Aristocrat, who's nice enough but I'll also need a good Indy shop.
