Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

25 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So finally, here is my new to me 2000, 996. I love the MKII wing (can you say RS wing in the future!?), I did the red caliper paint, PSE mod (greatest sound ever IMO), light tinted Headlight Armor (I'm going for a all black theme), GT3 delete, Pedals, 997 shifter linkage and brake ducts (thanks for the idea everyone). So yeah, looking to drop the Pcar soon, and add some 996 GT3 wheels in black. If anyone knows of a set hit me up And lastly, thanks to everyone on this board for all of the endless knowledge that's posted here daily.

POST 2Original post

Congrats and welcome! That's a fine looking car.

POST 3Original post

Nice! Looks evil in black with that wing! I seriously recommend getting the sport shift ****/boot. Thicker, nicer to shift with.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks guys I have been considering several shift *****. I really like the alcantara shifter/ebrake/steering wheel from Suncoast. Also love the 997 S shift ****, but wondering if that boot would work out if you switched the plastic piece it's attached to. Which **** are you talking about? The turbo/carbon fiber look one?

I have the CF one and love it. You'll find it here... http://www.carnewal-europe.com/main.htm

POST 6Original post

Nice looking 996! Thanks for posting the pics. You avoided getting chewed out by Tim.... oh wait... that's me!

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hehehe, oh yes I know all about you tim, lol. That is why I waited to post until i had pics and thanks!

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I got the idea for the headlight tint from PetFrog, aka possibly the most famous GT3 RS ever. I ordered the Headlight Armor from www.headlightarmor.com Thanks for the compliments!

POST 11Original post

Looks real good..... Where did you get the MKII aero kit from?

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Actually, I bought it from Rusnak Pasadena with it on there. I was surprised, but happy at the same time. Don't get me wrong, I love the taco wing . . . but being able to chuck on a GT3 RS carbon fiber blade on there is pretty darn nice Oh, only the wing is MKII =)

POST 13Original post

Looks great, I was in Newport today and saw at least 10 nice Porsches cruising around but not yours.... Look for you next time!

POST 17Original post

I like the black look. Let us know if you change the shifter. I have the same one as you and it just feels/looks too thin to me. I notice other people with stock looking shifters that look thicker, is that the sport shifter? Ken

POST 19Original post

Fine looking Porsche Justin, thanks for sharing your pics.

POST 24Original post

nice car, not sure I like that color though! (kidding)

POST 25 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks everyone for all of the compliments. The GT3 delete refers to the front center console removal. I needed the leg room . . . well, that and I like to do new stuff to the car on the weekends
