Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So I got permission from the wife to start looking for a 911. Price limit is $35K. so for the most part that puts me looking at 996 series So before I even start I was wondering if anyone knows of a good shop for PPI in Rhode Island My first car to look at will be a 2002 911 I found http://autos.yahoo.com/used-cars/por...N77bbt0UDhb454

POST 2Original post

You could try German Motors on North Main Street in Providence - I am from the area, and there are not many Porsche independents around. There is one in Woonsocket, but I was not impressed when I stopped in. His wife was rude and he was not available at the time. Good luck Steve

POST 3Original post

Good luck (I'm in the same boat, slightly less budget). As there's a good chance you'll be buying a Porsche from out of state (RI probably doesn't have many and is small to begin with), perhaps look to neighboring states with good PPI sources?

POST 4Original post

eflight, Sent you a private message (PM). Thx.

POST 5Original post

NICE - I like the interior CF bits I am not wild about the side skirts the hood in pic 19 looks slightly to the right (might be lighting)

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I guess I'll have to start looking in MA and CT as well. Turns out the 911 I wanted to look at was sold last week, they just never updated the web site.
