Car had been standing for about 5 days Started it up and noticed a strange gravelly rasping noise. - This lasted for about 5 seconds and dissapered. Also noticed more exhaust out of one pipe than the other. Didn't think too much about it, weather was very cold and damp. Drove off to my meeting, got about 15 miles and felt a slight misfire. Then the check engine lamp came on and central display said - check engine, drive to workshop. Luckily I was about 5 miles from Tonbridge OPC. I phoned them and they said drive it in. Left it there yesterday, waiting to hear. Any ideas ???

Why and how do you guys deal with such major mechanical issues??? Seems this forum is Chock full of stories like this. Kinda scary for a guy sitting on the fence. Is the TT engine subject to the RMS?

Glad to hear it was nothing major. Qirex, Any engine can develope an RMS leak. The standard Carrera engine just seems more prone to it than others. The TT, GT2, and GT3 all use a different engine that is not as susceptible to RMS leaks.

No TT engine is not subject to RMS issues. ! But who know what other flaws they are subject too???
