Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

25 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just did my full interior in suede and did a custom fiberglass enclosure in the rear seats. Running 19x9 and 19x14 iForged Aeros on one side and Revs on the other side., thats right 19x14 in the rear with a 355/25/19 Pirelli Tires. Rear lip is a jaw dropping 6" wide. Car is on the cover of European Car Magazine this month March Issue. Car is currently supercharged with nitrous. Side by side the car is 6" wider than a Turbo or C4s, built with a custom metal widebody. Look for it at the upcoming shows in So. Cal, showing with the Europrojektz car crew.

Full Suede Interior and Supercharger

POST 5Original post

That's some serious rubber on the rear!!! NIce metal work on the rear fenders, they seem to fit very well with the original body. Is the rear bumper also custom made? From the center console I can see this car started life as a pre-'02 standard Carrera. Is that correct? What was done to the suspension? How's the handling on twisty roads? Are all the extra gauges for real... I sure wouldn't want to have to check 'em doing 180 mph

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The car started its life as a 1999 C2. The rear bumper is standard Turbo with Tech Art accents. I am running JIC Cross Suspension with upper pillow mounts. Yes all the guages are real.

POST 7Original post

wow...did the facelift front headlight conversion too! how long did it take to do the work? must've started on it in '99 too hehe

POST 11Original post

Damm Vince everytime I turn around your doing something again

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Albert... The car took 4 months to get it to where it is today from stock. So not to bad. It was at the SEMA show in the iForged booth and at the CES show in Jan in the MB Quart Booth.

POST 13Original post

It seems like with all that work you'd remove the airbag decals.

POST 14Original post

Hmmm, nope not my cup of tea, great workmanship though! Ciao, Johannes

POST 15Original post

looks great, but why one question.. any reason you didn't go for the widebody rear lights? from the rear, those narrow body lights look really small, compared to the rest of the car.. which is huge.. heh..

POST 16Original post

amasing work, i think i have all the photos u posted on 6speed saved to my comp, now i can use these for wallpaper. how often do you drive that beast, or is it just a trailer queen now?

POST 17Original post

is there any write up on the project, complete with specs and estimated cost? Would be cool to see a pic of it next to a turbo or c4s..

POST 19Original post

Well, don't quite see the point making a 'neon & rice' 911, but have to agree the workmanship is pretty special. Not my thing, but that's the great thing about freedom of choice! Ok, I concede, I really like the colour!!

POST 20Original post

amir, the c4s/tt has different rear lights than the narrow body.. bit bigger in length and width.. i figured he pretty much did everything else to the rear, why not add the newer lights if you're gonna redoo everything and make it look like a twin turbo/c4s.. from the back one can clearly tell it's a narrow body.. and for that much money spent, i'd personally want mine to look like the latter variation :>

POST 21Original post

Vince the car is getting better and better looking every time I see it. Love the combination of blue and black suede interior. Now I think it is time for you to enjoy that car little bit.

POST 23Original post

Awesome piece of art. btw....I am assuming the pillar pod is custom as the whole car is, can you confirm

POST 24 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for all the compliments. Yes the A-pillar and the center console are custom made pieces. No one make an a-pillar guage pod for the 996, so I had to fabricate one. Regarding the comment on the taillights, I built this car to be a 996 C2, not a turbo look a like. I wanted to keep the small taillights in the rear. The car is actually 6" wider than a Turbo or C4s.

POST 25Original post
