good decision in getting the splitter installed on the front bumper..most people think that these parts are solely for looks, but the wing definitely improves the aerodynamics of the car at high speeds to produce more down force.

porsche recommends that the wing be installed with the aero front bumper as well.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

In tracking the history of this wing, apparently it was 'Manny's wing' and has been sold to two other Rennlisters before me. I decided to paint it and install it, and after searching threads I determined I wanted to also install a front splitter. So thanks for the wing, Brian, and for the splitter, Dell- here are some pics w/ the top up and down. (BTW, one of my hobbies is competitive alpine ski racing, and the downhill is my favorite of the four events I compete in- thus the vanity tags) Enjoy!
You should consider adding the Side Skirts you can get through 996 Tequipment like the ones picturd on my hardtop. They run about $700 for both and install and paint should be maybe $400

Looks more like a San Francisco plate than something you'd expect to see in your area.
Just kidding!
I'm a two-planker myself...but probably not at your level.
Nice car.
Agreed! Currently have the skirts, and am trying to figure out which spoiler I want to add, skiracer's spoiler looks well proportioned for the car. Which spoiler is that, Porsche Tequipment?
I think it looks great as is. Not a fan of the side skirts...it looks so clean right now. That wing goes great with the car...see ya around! Snow is fantastic so far!!!!
Skiracer..if that is indeed the wing that i originally sold, i'm glad to know that someone finally got it installed in their car. the wing is indeed an original tequipment part made especially for the cabrio. i purchased the wing from the local porsche dealer. i removed the wing when i sold my cabrio. good decision in getting the splitter installed on the front bumper..most people think that these parts are solely for looks, but the wing definitely improves the aerodynamics of the car at high speeds to produce more down force. porsche recommends that the wing be installed with the aero front bumper as well. hope you enjoy it as much as i did...manny.
Do you race in the Masters program?
Yes, I actually run the program here in CO.
I'm definitely enjoying the wing, but still undecided on the side skirts...my biggest surprise is that my wife likes it (I forgot to consult w/ her when I got it)
ski man, car looks great! I almost pulled the trigger on the wing myself, but didn't trust local shops painting from silver to green. Nice to see it found the right home.
Thanks for all the positive comments, everyone. I'll post more pics when the hardtop goes on w/ the winter wheels as I prepare the C4 for winter in Colorado.
