Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Many F1, Champ Car, ALMS and Grand Am cars use black wheels!
Leading evidence: 'Use black wheels' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Use black wheels' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Those are too nice to paint black and I dont think it will match the exterior paint combo anyways. Car looks sweet now. Someone needs to try white though......
I agree that silver looks pretty good guys but it's really hard to keep track wheels looking good. Black is much much easier to take care of. I thought it would be fun to see what it would look like.
I tried, but my photoshop software won't let me (or I don't know how to make it) change the color of a selected item, and still retain the various shading differences.
I'm sure it's the software, not the user!
JB,
If you really like black rims (which I do), my taste goes with keeping the lips polished and just doing the centers black.
Sorry not a P-car, but I love the look of these black rims below.
Do you guys ever sleep?
Red looks wild. I'm not sure if that's an option or not.
I don't have a huge racing budget or a full time team to keep the stuff looking nice so I have to be practical. Think low effort and low budget.
BTW, since you are all so creative, I still need to add my 89.
Thanks for all the help.
Jim
Where did you get this picture? I've know this dude since high school (Compton boys)! I talked to him two weeks ago and he sold the yellow 360 and bought a 2004 360 Challenge.
Here's the same car with a $7,000 dent. It was parked in a lot and a 16 year girl hit the side of it. No one was around and she left her name and phone number on a card under the wiper.
carreramike: is that a tricked out turbo or tricked out GT2? Whatever it is...wow!
BTW CM: your car looks sweet, very nicely done.
porsche-t: I must say that I'm suprised twice, first how the hell does one not see a yellow ferrari????? and 2 I'm impressed she did the right thing.
Thanks to everyone for your help. I need to decide in the next couple of hours. I'm afraid it's going to end up being a practical solution rather than a fun one. That's OK. There's plenty of fun to be had from inside the car.
Thanks again,
Jim
Yeah, he's had a few bad experiences. He took his factory Cigarette race boat to Lake Havasu, and a guy trying to dock a pontoon boat hit the side of it, tore the fiberglass and pushed it up on the dock and broke his outdrive.
Jim,
I could see your expensive racing wheels to be "Two Piece" BBS. I seperated mine myself and had the center pieces painted. i was afraid of the heat in powdercoating. Anyways, i decided to do that since i got the official torque vaklues of those titanium bolts that keep them together. Sorry I cant tell you my source. I swear in secrecy, but someone in BBS.
Mike,
I've had quite a few racing wheels apart. As you now know, they really aren't hard to put back together. Good call on the powdercoating although the wheels are in direct contact with the very hot rotors so it's hard to imagine it could hurt them.
I think I'm going with all black. If I don't like them I can always swap for some unpainted ones.
Jim
Rob,
Practical as in buying a Prius so you have more rear bumper space for Obama/Edwards bumper stickers is bad. Practical as in painting your wheels black so you can be drinking beer rather than sitting on your *** polishing your wheels with brain cell killing chemicals is good!
