Hi Folks,
Need a little bit of help here.
I went out for a quick beer run before the ball game Sat night and while in the store another car parked next to mine cracked my passenger side mirror cover.
I did not notice it until next morning. Guess no matter how far I park my car away from everyone else, people are curious and just attracts attention.
I found a set of CF mirror cover but am on the fence on the look given that it would be the only CF part on the car. Any thoughts on getting one silver mirror cover replaced or the CF "upgrade?"

TIA..
man that sux. I always park in the farthest space avaliable and once in awhile the same thing happens.
Personally, unless interior is CF, I would just get it fixed. Let me know if you get it fixed and painted, I may be changing bumpers in spring/summer, I'd be grateful for a heads-up on dependable bodyshop. I saw a silver cayenne in fairfield the other day and you could plainly see colors were off on front quarterpanel and bumper...yikes.
edit: I checked out the website and although 5 minute fix does sound tempting, I'll bet it'll be about $200 to have shop remove mirror, fix and repaint. I had it done on my Audi and if I remember correctly it was just under 150 or somethinglike that. Ebay company looks like Porsche is not their mainstay, I'm guessing the coffee can muffler crowd, I would worry about fitment since it just goes over existing mirror body.
The crack is on the bottom of the mirror cover. I will seek alternative methods of making it right. You are right about the color matching which is why I posted this...
hey Chao,
good to see you on Saturday man, andi'm sorry to hear about the mirror, some people are so clueless... or is it careless!
As foe the side-view mirrors, I'm personally thinking of switching mine out with CF but to compliment them I'm also adding other CF exterior parts. Mirrors alone may look a little odd.
Good luck with whatever you decide.
Mick
Ludwig,
Thanks for the support. I will figure a way out of it. Perhaps I should drink less in the future.
Mick,
It was great to meet you and your family on Sat. Your girls are adorable. We will keep in touch as I go down to DC to visit my buddy quite often. BTW, I love your new wheels and your techart exhaust bark. Good to hear in person.
