This is not a probability of success.

I would like to have a Aluminum trim ring w/o totally changing shifters but haven't seem where that can be done.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

30 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Guys, (and gals) thought I'd share a couple pics of my new (to me) 1999 C2 Aero car. Zenith Blue / Gray. BBS LM's...6-speed...41k miles....etc... Previous P-car experience has been with a 951 and some time in a 964 C2. I love them all but this car to me is as good as it gets! I am in the business and have had the car offered in inventory but since there has been no takers I am just going to keep her! No this is not an advertisement! Thanks for the space! More pics to come when I can get some good sunny weather! Thanks for a great forum. Enjoy!

POST 2Original post

VERY NICE. Aero + LM's are perfect! It looks like it's riding on stock suspension? Gotta lower her a bit. Looks good.

POST 3Original post

Love the color, not seen any like it. A keeper it is BTW, the wheels look great on it

POST 4Original post

Stunning - I'd keep it too. I find it hard to believe that you got no takers.

POST 5Original post

Good looking '99 Aero. Lower it and remove the pumpkins now that you own it

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the kind words guys....I too like the fact that the color is kinda unique. Pumpkins need to go I agree...springs and some exhaust work might be in the cards too. I had the car priced kinda strong at $34,900 (guess kinda hoped no one would get too serious Had a few inquires but nothing hot and heavy, I think the car would be tough to duplicate with the wheels and that color combo / equipment but who knows, I kinda expected more response too. I tell ya the car business is slow right now overall. SpeedDemon - Thanks again for the extra set of manuals!!

POST 11Original post

POST 12Original post

I say it looks perfect as is...no need to go with the "squatty" look.

POST 13Original post

Beautiful, Jason. A few of us are getting together in Apex on Saturday morning. Would love to see you there. See my Cary/Apex thread from yesterday.

You two still get unique points for tip vs 6 speed.

POST 27Original post

Very nice. It looks like the stock shifter but with some type of trim ring. Any info? I would like to have a Aluminum trim ring w/o totally changing shifters but haven't seem where that can be done.

POST 28Original post

One of the best looking 996's I've seen. I'm partial to blue cars and love the mkI aero cars. Enjoy! Cheers, Stan
