Decided to go with all 4 unless anyone posts a good reason why I shouldn't choose these tires or knows a better price.

I wouldn't do it...you're in Texas and going to spend twice what you need to and you're only getting all seasons? I would bet that a set of Sumitomos or Hankook summer tires would mop the floor with Michelin all seasons.
Sorry to be so blunt, but you're wasting a lot of money there.
I don't like pirellis, but like michelins and continental n rated tires. I don't think you'll be happy with the Sumis except for the wear. They may last longer, but I don't think you'll be happy with the ride quality. My independent mechanic said they become harder and noisier as they wear. He had them on his '02 996.
On a completely different car (and a lot cheaper due to size), but I loved my Pilot Sport A/S's on my STi. They were good all year around here given that I don't go driving in the hills. Good drive, good wear. That's for normal spirited driving around, not autocross, where I'd find myself thinking that maybe RA-1's were a perfectly reasonable choice for daily driver summer tire.
Quite a difference from the old Miata that could get a set of four tires shipped for less than the price of a single front tire for the 996. I still have the PZeros my 996 so can't say how others work there.
I just bought 4 of these Hankook's for just over $400.00. Truthfully even if they go a few years for that price how can you go wrong. They look really good and I've read good reports so we'll see what happens when I mount them in the spring.
I had Pirelli Rosso and they were new and loud. I could not stomach $450 for a rear Pilot tire and I went with Sumi and have not looked back. The Sumi's are quiet and wear great. Also living in the Dallas area, do you really need A/S's?
You can't wrong with your choice but your wallet will be much lighter when it doesn't need to be.
+1 on all...what's the point of spending lots more for an all season tire than for a summer tire that will outperform it in every category?
Oh, and I have the Sumis and they ride just fine...not an issue.
FWIW...when I bought my 2001 996 C2 2 years ago I wasn't sure how I was going to use it, and living in CT, and having summer performance tires on other cars turn to ice skates under 50 deg., I went with the PS AS+ as a "safe option". I didn't expect to drive in snow (have an SUV), anyway, 18,000 miles, 4 DE track days, and 1 autocross later and I can report the following...
In real snow, they suck...they are OK in slush and light snow
Under 50 deg....they are awesome
Rain...awesome
Summer/Backroads...no complaints...lots of grip
Noise...pretty good (not much louder than new)
DE's....I can hang with just about anyone (moved from green to yellow in 4 days)...lots of grip, communicative, not the ideal track tire, but they perform very well
Tire wear...still have over 50% of tread left.
For an everyday and occasional track tire, they are a great "compromise"...and saves the hassle of changeover in the winter...
