Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I've used Blackstone Labs before and they are excellent.
Leading evidence: 'Use blackstone labs' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'best one i've seen' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Lubricate properties' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

I've used Terry Dyson's Premium Analysis for all my cars.

Suggestion
I did some research and found that it is added in the event the oil's lubricity breaks down and looses lubricating properties.

I'm about to change the oil for the 1st time in my new to me 99 C2, and would like to send a sample away for analyst.
Thanks for the input guys, I have ordered a test kit from Blackstone, does anyone know if I will have any issues sending oil samples back into the USA with US Custom's?
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
18 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Hello Guys
I'm about to change the oil for the 1st time in my new to me 99 C2, and would like to send a sample away for analyst. I see from doing a search a company Blackstone, is there any other some of you might suggest I use?
Thanks for the help.
I've used Blackstone Labs before and they are excellent. I would recommend them. If you call or email them, they'll send you a test kit and a mailer to send in your sample.
I've been using Blackstone for a few years. Great service. I buy in bulk, 6 tests at a time, and save a little money. I also have them do UOA's on my tranny gear lube.
I've used Terry Dyson's Premium Analysis for all my cars. I think it's second to none because I get Terry's personal expertise. I haven't done a UOA in a while and I know the price has gone up.

Here is a good forum to get information about UOAs and all things oil

It was interesting to see molybdenum in such high quanties in the analysis. You don't see this in "natural" oil. I did some research and found that it is added in the event the oil's lubricity breaks down and looses lubricating properties. Interesting.
Learned from this forum once again.
Here are the interior pics I have, I purchased it in Dec and have had it in storage ever since, only got to drive it for 2 dyas before slat was on the road.
Hopefully will have it out again soon and can take some more.

Dude, that's a seriously nice looking interior...probably the best one I've seen...
But that floormat on the driver side footwell is a serious FAIL...
I fail to see how one can be comfortable seeing wear metals in an oil analysis and deciding to run the oil even longer?
The idea is not to run the oil until it loads up with wear metals but to change it before wear metals show up.
The oil is the sacrifical item in the engine/oil pairing.
Sincerely,
Macster.
LOL I agree, I left the floormat in the driveway of the last owner, and thanked him for using the such a big rubber matt and keeping the original looking brand new for me!!
Guys, How long does it normally take for the test kit from Blackstone to show up once requested? I never got a chance to change the oil in Dec before putting the car away, and would like to do it before driving it now that the snow is almost gone.
Is it OK to save some oil in a glass jar and then transfer it to the bottle they send when it arrives?
