In fact even if you busted a tyre you should almost always replace both on the same axle.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Over the weekend let the girlfriend drive the car and the rear alloy wheel was scraped on a kerb
I have found another GT3 sport design alloy however its not an original.
If I had 1 wheel that was original and 1 that was pattern would the weight difference affect the drive? I am concerned that maybe 1 wheel would spin quicker then the other causing the car to slightly drift to one side.
Sorry if this is a stupid question. Did a search on this and cant find any results.... thanks
Nick, I think this one is a no brainer. First of all are you really contemplating putting an "odd" wheel on your gorgeous GT3 lookalike?
Secondly, yes you will be messing with the geometry of the car if the two wheels on a single axle are different. In fact even if you busted a tyre you should almost always replace both on the same axle. You can of course get scuffed rims repaired and it's usually not expensive. But the big question is why, why, WHY did you let her near it
Actually, it CAN be repaired, and you really won't even notice. What they do is weld more metal in place, and then grind it down and polish it. I'm serious, you will be amazed. There's a place here that is really good called Tru Wheel (

) but I'm sure someone near you can do just as good a job if not better.
For those of you with scratched wheels that live in or near Pennsylvania, I scratched one of my alloy wheels and Knopf Automotive, the Porsche dealership in Allentown, Pa, polished and repainted the wheel which made it look new for approx. $100.
An aftermarket wheel would not really afect the balance of the car. the amount will be not be noticed. However why would you want to put one on your nice car for just a curb rash. It sound like something so minor that its not worth trying. I would repair it as the rest said here. Ask arround club members as I'm sure many guys have needed repair on their wheels in the UK.
