I think you would be correct. However, that is true with most previous generation cars and not just Porsche.

are you talking about new or used cars? for used cars, there is the inevitable slight dip, as most people will want the newest thing, but some will cling to the old 993 - 996 anyone? (yes i know, air,watercooled, whatever...) as for the new market, perhaps dealers will be willing to take a few thousand more off, but nothing BIG.
