Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Leading evidence: 'Run cargraphic export exhaust' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Run 5 pounds of boost and cargraphic mufflers' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

i'm hoping to see better results than they did since i'm using forced induction now.

FWIW, my car is an 02 996 with an EVO SC running 5 pounds of boost and cargraphic mufflers.

i should see decent gains as i'm running a supercharger too.

i think equal length doesn't necessarily mean that have to be exactly the same length, more that they're not like the factory headers that all run together in that one bottom pipe.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

i'm a little lazy, so here's a link to the write up on these that i did somewhere else:

thought you guys might be interestd in taking a look at an alternative to the usual suspects out there

they took a 996 off the road for two months to dyno and test these units. they cut and welded sections of tubing (lengthing and shortening) until they got best HP results they could.
allegedly they got approx 28 WHP at around 5K and 12 WHP at peak. i've seen and heard the car that they used to test and dyno on. it sounds pretty cool. they tuned it for more HP at 5K as one of the designers is a track junky. you can see the dynos and more details at the link i posted.
i am supposed to go in thurs morning for install, with before and after dyno runs to accomany it. i should see decent gains as i'm running a supercharger too. we'll see. i'm the first one to try them with a blower.
went to the dyno today.
just as advertised: approx 25-30 rear wheel HP at 5K and approx 10-11 rear wheel HP at peak.
all i can say is that i wouldn't have believed it if i hadn't seen it.
i'm still waiting for the dyno shop to send me the raw dyno files so that i can screen shot and post up the graphs.
these headers are really dialed in. can't say enough how impressed i am with the results. on the downside, they are a bit noisy. my car is now making approx 425 rear wheel HP.
Wow, this is tough to believe. I have to believe that the forced induction is making the difference. Said another way, what makes you think a NA 996 will get the same results?
cause i have seen dyno results on an NA car with the exact same headers that got the exact same results. this isn't some made up car either. i've seen and heard the car. i'm running such little boost the SC doesn't really reap any huge benefits from the headers.
this just happens to be one of those really excellent designs that come along once in a while. they spent a lot of time building these and they got it right. i'll post the charts as soon as i get the raw dyno files. that way i can take a screen shot to show the peak HP diff between my before and after.
what exhaust are you running? i have the GHL loud and when i put my headers on it changed the sound completely....much higher pitch...wondering if anyone else experienced this...i loved the GHL before...not sure about the higher pitch now....thanks ted
same thing on mine. much louder with a raspy tone. Only at WOT though. I'm running the cargraphic export exhaust. Sounds like a race car now. I kind of like the way it sounded before the headers, but you can't argue with the power gains. I can't take them off now after looking at the dyno charts. Now it's got me curious about high flow cats, but I'm sure it would be abnoxious loud at that point.
that coming from a guy who's car sounds like he hacksawed the mufflers off in his driveway
all kidding aside, they are having an antique hotrod show near my house tonight. you thinking about bring the 993 by???
I am honored that you would consider my car a hot rod!
Most people that hear it love the way it sounds (Like a 911 is supposed to
)
Come pick me up after lunch today so I can hear and see what it feels like!
Deputy,
I would be very interested in seeing your raw data when you get it. Also the N/A raw data if you have it. The most impressive part of the Suncoast dyno charts is the torque curve. We've gotten a lot of hp out of my car but usually at the expense of low end torque.
Could you PM me the name of the guy at Suncoast that knows the most about these.
Thanks,
Jim
Gary: Are you trying to get banned here too? You'll have no where left to go besides the "camera forum" at that point
And I think you're on thin ice there too
Banned? Why I'm not the one posting the BS dyno numbers...
and they love me on the "Camera Forum" as you call it..
Just kidding ... I was an eye witness to the "Turbo Wannabe" on the dyno...
here's the before, the after, and the two overlayed showing the max RWHP gain (27). on a side note, I've seen the exact same dyno results on an NA 3.4 996 so they do work just the same on normally aspirated cars as well.
