had a rattle from the sunroof, driving me crazy, finally found it,took the inside panel off and took it for a ride and felt around while driving, turns out it was the rear wind deflecter thats why it was only rattling when the roof was closed, put a strip of felt along the top of it where it meets the roof when its closed and it is now dead quiet, more enjoyable ride now

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

is the protector surpose to be on the windscreen or the sunroof?

POST 4Original post

How do you take the inside panel off? Thanks Todd 99 coupe

POST 5Original post

That rubber piece can come dislodged and wind up tangling up the mechanism.
