Suggestion

I don't know how close they have to be, but run your standard tires through, then try the fronts you have and the 295/30 's through and see how much difference you have.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have the option 18" Sport Design wheels on my 2001 cab and have 285's on currently and I have an option to buy some cheap Pirelli P Zero's that are 295/30's. Any idea if they fit? Cheers!

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Indeed! Just not sure (I think they sport design options are 10" wide) will cut it, especially with a 30 profile tyre...

POST 4Original post

They will fit, its not perfect (285 for 10" recommended), but only 10mm over. This isn't uncommon. Not an option for me as the 4WD would go mental

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have 4WD... you thinking understeer / oversteer issues?

POST 6Original post

I am not sure what I was thinking, 295 30 18 is standard fitment for me as I have 11" rears and a C4S ! (But my tires are new, so not buying these) I have 225 40 fronts - according to a tire size calculator, this is a circumference of 78.44 for the rears and a circumference of 78.81 or the fronts, a difference of 0.37" Check it out here: http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...foTireMath.jsp I don't know how close they have to be, but run your standard tires through, then try the fronts you have and the 295/30 's through and see how much difference you have. I would guess 0.5 of an inch or less would be fine, but its just a guess. Any more and the transfer case might start to do more work and get hot, wear more, etc.

POST 7Original post

Also interested to see what size for fronts would be ideal for 295/30/18 rears for the 18" sport designs. Anyone have feedback from their own setups or a good rule of thumb for this?
