Suggestion

If I'm not mistaken, it can make the idle run a bit rough or cause it to pulsate up and down if it' no good?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm thinking about changing the O2 sensors on my 1999 C4 coupe. I did a forum search but came up with nothing. How many are there and is it a do it yourself job? I can get a access to a lift if absolutely necessary.

POST 2Original post

yes DIY..... pull the airbox off... find the sensor plugs (under airbox) unplug... and unscrew the sensor from the cats... R&R one at a time so you dont mix them up.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thank you! Has anyone written a how to on this? Also how many are there?

POST 5Original post

Maybe it's not sensing the 02 anymore... If I'm not mistaken, it can make the idle run a bit rough or cause it to pulsate up and down if it' no good? J

POST 6Original post

If that sensor goes bad, you'll get a CEL right away. -Charles
