Since we will have to do a component repaint on the whole car, perhaps it wouldn't be that big of a PITA to change the whole car to Speed Yellow.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I need a 996 coupe (1999) with good body, don't even care if it has engine, transmission or interior. Need to have good body panels and lights would be nice. Let me know if anyone can help.
Thanks
Jonathan
I have front fenders, front bumper with Gemballa sport lip, clear headlights with gemballa cover, signal lights, and rear decklid/spoiler complete if you need any of those item - let me know.
Regards,
Jonathan
Jonathan, I have a front bumper and rear deck lid from my 1999 C2 in Speed Yellow (non aero kit stuff).
I know why you are doing this, and so I am sure that the owner of the car you were driving appreciates it very much.
Rear deck lid is perfect, but thanks so much. The Front bumper would be great but I have to find an aero bumper. Thanks for your response. If for some reason there is some damage to the rear decklid I'll get back with you but the hood and deck lid look near perfect, a little buffing and wash will get them done, not so lucky for the other stuff.
This is really what I need to get to the paint shop right away.
1. Left fender
1. Right fender (not really needed according to the body guy, but if I found a good one it would be best just to install a never damaged panel) Same goes for Passenger and drivers door, but he said not a big deal to make them perfect.
1. Aero Front bumper
1. Rear Bumper Cover
1. Right tail Lamp
2. Clear Side markers
1. Right aero Skirt
2. Rear bumper cover aero Skirts
1. Right Raditor, I think (I'll inspect later today) No physical damage can be seen, but there is a leak from a hose or something)
This is a parts list, the rest of the panels will just need to be worked.
Jonathan (and others), the parts I mentioned are FREE, just pay shipping, although I understand you are looking for Aero stuff. But this is what I can do to help out
Saw this post on my local CL...not sure if it will lead to anything but worth emailing him.

UPDATE: he replied as follows:
yes I have a lot of body panels and all of the rear lights. I will make up a list and send it to you tonight.
Joey

This is an incredibly generous offer. I'll talk to Jonathan about it. I do like the speed yellow cars. Since we will have to do a component repaint on the whole car, perhaps it wouldn't be that big of a PITA to change the whole car to Speed Yellow.
Perhaps we will find a way to, as we say in the South, "make a silk purse out of a sow's ear." I'll work with Jonathan to make this whole thing have a silver lining somewhere.
Thank you to all the guys/gals on this board who are pitching in to help and lend their support, it is really appreciated more than you guys will ever know. I should have upgraded my membership to a lifetime member when I first purchased, but hesitated. After the experience on this board in the wake of this event, I will definitely be upgrading my membership soon.
Hey, this is a little off topic, but I thought Rennlist offered "Lifetime Memberships" for like $1000; however, I can't find anything longer than the two year membership. I wanted to upgrade to lifetime, but don't guess I can. I suppose I'll just wait until I'm old enough to join the AARP, which I know offers lifetime memberships. (It won't be long before I start getting those brochures from AARP in the mail.).
Like I mentioned to Jonathan in my PM, I have no use for the parts so I see no need to make money of them since I was given them when I bought the car. Hmm another yellow Porsche, let's not try to flood Rennlist with them, need more silvers IMHO
The only thing I ask is assistance with setting-up shipping as they will probably go freight. On a side note, I just got told that I am going to Seattle for a couple of weeks on business so it's going to be even tougher to make this happen quickly for you, but still, FREE is FREE right
Oddly enough, I'm not in a big hurry to get the car fixed, as I want to make sure it is done correctly and cost effectively. Haste makes waste.
I'll try to restrain myself on the flooding of the Speed Yellow market.
How do the marines say ? always earned never given ?
Seriously though, I don't think JD has ever offered the lifetime memberships 'for sale'.
You should probably get one just for taking this whole thing so well-- and Jonathan for stepping up and taking care of business.
Very cool of you other guys to offer up parts, that's what renn is all about. Pretty much all I can offer for the 996 are some pumpkin sidemarkers, sorry !!
Good luck to both of you guys !!
TedWright:
Ahhh, I knew I had seen "Lifetime Member" under some of the members' screen names. At least now, I know I'm not crazy. And the phrase "always earned, never given" is a great phrase/quote.
I know I have sent you email and pm with my appriciation of your generosity but failed to do it on the board. Thanks so much for your help. Let me know when you can ship and I'll get you the shipping stuff.
I have sent him an email through craig list. If he has the other parts that I need I may take you up on your offer to help ship. I do have a fedex ground account that we can use and I can pay you for your time and materials to pack.
Depends on what the out come is. What are you looking to get for it?
Gotta say, this thread has got me emotional.
You guys are jam up!! For different reasons but,...all I can say is I'm glad I joined Rennlist (AND glad I got a Porsche
)
I have learned tons and helped out anyway possible. The $17 (I think) to be a
Rennlist Member
is well worth it.
Jonathan...to clarify those are two differnet links. One is for an ebay auction who the seller states "pick up only", the other is a CL post. Nevertheless, let me know if you need assistance in shipping.
