Read evidence and context

Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion

If I remember correctly, they just pop out, disconnect the wire, reconnect and pop in.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Before I post pics, I want to swap out my pumpkins for clear side markers. Just received them yesterday from Suncoast and it seems fairly easy. Is there a DIY on this or anything I should be looking for? Appreciate any help.

POST 2Original post

If I remember correctly, they just pop out, disconnect the wire, reconnect and pop in. Voila done.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I assume I go under the wheel well...on the 997 forum the advice (on a similiar question) is to snap them out, but this doesn't seem like it is the correct way. Thanks

Exactly - if you do a search, there are some photos of someone doing the switch. Remove the lens where it meets the lip of the wheel well - it should snap right out. Believe me, if I can do this one, anyone with hands can.

POST 5Original post

if you tease it out with your fingers you will see that there is a spring clip holding it in. I *gently* put a flat screwdriver in to push the clip in and it pops out. Watch the paint, but it's very easy.

Look in your owner's manual in the section on bulb replacement. The side markers are covered there.

POST 7Original post

You dont even have to go under the wheel well. They are held in by a clip and a spring mechanism. If you push towards the back the "spring will depress and they will come out of the clip in the front. disconnect the wire connect the new and repeat in reverse.. So So So easy!!!!
