Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Don't know much about the Turbo so am asking Rennlisters. Will a Turbo bumper or a Turbo rear spoiler fit on a narrow 996? Thanks

POST 3Original post

on your 99...no, and no.....on a 02+ the front bumper will pretty much bolt on...the rear bumper needs to be cut to fit as its got about an inch or so too much bumper on each side. Spoiler will not fit easily because the rear deck lids are different, and if you can get it to fit, the airbox inhibits the closing of it because the pistons that raise and lower the spoiler wont clear it. So you need to either cut or remove the stock airbox, and also mod it to fit.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I really want reduced lift in the front and back. I think I'll need to find a front bumper that has been designed for a narrow body, but I do like the actuated turbo spoiler. Just want to know if it would fit where our current spoiler is.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks newport - that was the info I needed.

B. Choi...that question could be asked of you for sooo many reasons....lol....lets just say, maybe he wants some of the TT styling cues....why have a GT2 style rear wing, when you dont have a GT2?

MKI Aero Kit is perfect for your car and will give you what you are looking for except for the actuated turbo spoiler, but I think you just want that to be different which is OK (see picture below and click on the '1999 Carrera 911/996 C2' lettering to see more pics).

No prob...it can be done...but my body shop which did one said it was a pain in the ***....and that it would cost way too much in time than it would be worth.....There are aftermarket TT wings for a narrow body without any acutators, so it stays in the up position....Rear bumper....get a TT bumper and have a shop that knows how to do it fit it to your car...I had a fiberglass TT "style" bumper and it looked like crap....the genuine TT rear loos soooo much better.

POST 9Original post

I like that way that looks newport996, very nice. I have to say I have been thinking about trying to get both the front and rear bumpers you have newport. I just like the way they look. My car is an 01 C4 so I am still shopping for the best options.
