Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

No matter what gear I'm in, if I'm accelerating at a light to medium throttle, its nice and smooth up until about 3050RPM, then hit does a slight stumble through about 3200 RPM, then it's nice and smooth again.
If I'm going about 1/2 to 3/4 to romping on it, its smooth. Again...regardless of the gear I'm in.
Car is an '02 C2 with 25K miles.
It's the Variocam Plus kicking in. Although I wouldn't really describe it as a "stumble". It should feel like a tiny surge, almost like a mini turbo lag.
Uffffffff
I had the same sensation and began to think about ghost, wrecked engines and so on....
I left my car to a friend who has a C4S and he didn't noticed anything...
Now I can breath more quiet
As currently own two cars and a truck with turbos, I'd hardly call it turbo lag.
I'll do some searching on the Variocam thing. Thanks for the info, I'm glad that all I have to do is drive the car hard!
Although thats hard to do when most of my commute is stop and go OC to LA traffic. But I must say that I do love the small bit of fun for the first part of my drive when I go to get on the freeway coming home from work. A nice medium speed right hand sweeper, downshift to second for the hairpin turnaround onto the short ramp...then quickly get on the brakes to basicly baby the car for the next hour.
Thanks again...this forum is great.
