OEM street tires (P-Zeros) were changed at about 15K.
Leading evidence: 'Replace oem street tires (p-zeros)' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace oem street tires (p-zeros)' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

last year i ran several track days and still managed 18k miles from a set of p-zeros (not a very good track tire but great durability) i've run stock pads, pagids and high temp brake fluid with mixed results.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I am trying to rationalize my budget related to my track activities.
I imagine that it all depends on the car, the track and the driver but :
What would (should ?) be the "average" tires ,pads and rotor wear per hour in a track for a standard 996 and for a 996 TT. I am basically talking about non racing tires ( P0's assimetricos or Bridgestone S02A ), standard pads or Pagid Oranges.
A friend claims that one hour tracking will consume: 1 new set of pads, 1 new set of tires and a serious wear of rotors. I believe that this is an extreme case. What is the forum experience ?
I don't agree with the one hour high wear on both tires and pads on stock trim. Your tires and rotors should last at least 5 to 5 events.
Tire, pads, and rotors wear will be accelerated on the track but not in an hour of track driving.
The stock pads will wear very quickly when its at 50% depending on how fast one drives.
The use of consumables is dependent on the driver... and not neccesarily on their skill level.
I would not run the stock pads on the track if they are below 50%. They can not take the heat.
I wasted a set to the wear sensor when at 50%. They get too hot and cannot take the heat, gt3 ducts are needed. Also you should worry about the fluid boiling before that, do pagid blues, lines, and fluid-
a set of tires with one hour of track time?? not possible. i get 3-6k miles out of a set of dot r-compound tires (depending on brand). last year i ran several track days and still managed 18k miles from a set of p-zeros (not a very good track tire but great durability) i've run stock pads, pagids and high temp brake fluid with mixed results. brake wear will be accelerated for sure, but nothing like the extreme wear you're talking about. I got 30k miles from my front rotors and pads and still had 50% at the rear--same track time (abuse?) as with the tires.
A lot of variables will affect wear. For what it's worth, here's my experience.
Worst tire wear: 4 days of DE. R- compound DOT tires went from brand new needing to be heat cycled to corded. Could not do the last run and had to limp home.
Brake pads and rotors lasted 18k. Included about 22 track days at DE as well as daily grind to and from work. DE experience from full blown novice never-been-in-the track to B but wannabe in A group. Pads could have had some more regular street miles, but I considered them unsafe for track, so I changed them rotors and all. Doubt this next set will last as long.
OEM street tires (P-Zeros) were changed at about 15K. Usage as above. Worn down to and maybe just beyond wear bars.
Hope this helps.
