Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

28 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

As the title says, I found an 'interesting' color 2001 996 Turbo on the 'bay : http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsc...fCarsQ5fTrucks My wife loves the color and says that we should go for it...The car is across the country from us, so it would be a purchase without a drive... Any information would be greatly appreciated! Looking for thoughts on what it might need, are there any well known problems that I should expect, etc... Thanks in advance!

POST 3Original post

It's Back - been around a while... looks like same pics about a year later, still not sold ?? or new owner wanted black and "thought" he could live with it

POST 4Original post

If anyone buys this car, they have to be prepared to drive it until the wheels fall off. Seriously...

POST 5Original post

Yes, this one has been around for a while. If only they had put more of a standard color interior in it, it might have been a little bit more acceptable. I'm sure it's a great car to drive, but wow... that color...

I think your first step is to get the wife tested for color-blindness, specifically, red/green deficiency. Hope this was helpful.

POST 8Original post

No wonder it has such low miles...would you drive it if you owned it?

POST 10Original post

OMG the interior color!!! i cant hate though, not like i could afford it n e ways.

POST 13Original post

Pretty sure that's wimbledon green and it was an available color to order in '01. PS: I have one myself but my interior is natural brown leather.

POST 15Original post

Love the exterior color, but the interior is a deal breaker

It's Nephrite green interior.... and looking at it truly makes me a little sick to my stomach. I once new a guy who ordered a brand new Caddy Sedan Deville in the early 90's that was butternut yellow exterior, butternut yellow interior, with a Navy blue custom fabric top. I am sure he still has that car for the same reason that this car is for sale.

POST 17Original post

If you can find a full leather cream or brown interior, it may end up looking nice.

POST 18Original post

You can always dye the interior to something you like, I believe black would cover it nicely

POST 19Original post

I saw that car at Roebling Road Jan 2008 Crown Region DE. It's a jaw dropper!

POST 20Original post

the car is not hopeless... at that price its one hell of a car.

POST 21Original post

I didn't think that the color is so bad, until I saw the interior! What were they thinking???

POST 22Original post

Maybe I have been looking at my gray exterior and grey interior too long ( and color deprived), but.... I like the interior color.

POST 23Original post

After looking at the inside you could toss your cookies and never notice......oh......the insanity!

POST 24Original post

What is the deal with the front bumperettes? Don't think I've ever seen those before, hope I never do again.

POST 25Original post

Wow, it's back??? I thought this was an example of custom colors gone bad??? I think you should tighten up that there belt and veto that one... Rudy

POST 26Original post

+1 for Ferd - its a hell of a car and a good price, I bet with some effort the interior could be replaced with someone's track build.....the car is very low miles and in great condition despite the color the old stuff might not sell with $0.01 auctions though how many of these could there be I love the crossed out option codes under the hood. The guys in the factory were like.....4308 right?? NO ??? OMG he wants WHAT ??? OOOOOOOO Kay - - lol

POST 27Original post

My parents had a 64 Impala, I think the interior was the same color. For less money look here: http://www.luxurycars.com/searchview.php?ID=p1686151 Just can't stand yellow and miles are high.
