Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, I purchased a Ruf front sway for my 99 C2, I was going toward another suspension kit, but ended up buying M030 row from suncoast at their amazing price. It comes as a kit with the sway bars, Can someone please tell me if its better to go with Ruf or M030 front sway, both are same size I believe. How are they different one from each other? thanks

POST 2Original post

Where did you buy the Ruf front sway? What is the part number? If they are the same size there will be no difference in performance (assuming both are solid bars). -td

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

part no. is R96 343 70124 Ruf is much heavier than the M030, I am wondering how this will affect the handling?

POST 4Original post

The M030's are hollow, so the Ruf will be a bit stiffer. How much is the M030 kit going for now?

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

just under 1100$.. so harsh on bumpy road with ruf bar?

POST 6Original post

Wow!. That is a great deal. Actually, it would not be any harsher, ARBs.(anti roll bars) do nothing to the ride unless they get REALLY big. In fact, many use a larger, adjustable H&R front sway to balance the car a little better when they go to PSS9s or stiffer springs. FWIW, I'd think you would be able to sell the Ruf front easier than the M030, and probably get more for it. Plus the M030's use the stock drop links. However, if the Ruf is adjustable, then you could try it out at different settings and see what you prefer. Sways on a C2 are SO easy to change out.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

yeah I guess you are right, I'll just go with the provided setup and try to sell the Ruf bar. thanks guys!
