Struts alone may change ride characteristics, but will not change ride height - for that you need the springs.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

21 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey guys, I'm selling this setup because pss9 are coming in. I want to go lower and have the same quality ride. I have ran this setup for 4-5K and it's pretty good. The Row030 struts match up to the champion lowering springs well. Alot better than the standard Oem suspension struts that would be partly compressed with these springs. Will sell the set of struts and springs for $400 shipped. PM me if interested. Russ

My car is an 01. It is a manual trans. The setup should work fine on a 99-01 coupe or cab. Not sure about the tip though? The struts for cab's are more heavy duty thus should be no problem for the lighter weight coupe. However coupe springs are not really good to go into cabs because there no set up to handle the extra weight of the cab. Russ

Lower car by how much front / rear? Complete with everything to mount onto a 2000 996 CAB...

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Will lower the car by 1.25 inches front and rear. Yes ,full struts and springs. Russ

POST 6Original post

Russ I have a dumb question. Do you have to install struts and springs or do some just do struts? Are they on your cab now?

Struts alone may change ride characteristics, but will not change ride height - for that you need the springs. Stefan

Yes there on the car now. The car sits 1.25" lower than stock. You could do springs without struts and go lower, but if you have the standard oem porsche struts they will be partly compressed with these lowering springs. The row030 struts match up with these springs better to give a lower ride height and better ride. You need to try to match the strut assembly with the correct springs to have the optimal ride and handling. Hopr this helps. Russ

POST 12Original post

Russ, talked with my tech and unfortunately won't work for my C4S - good luck with the sale

POST 13Original post

This suspension does not have adjustable ride height - correct? So, cornerbalancing would not be required? Thanks Stefan

POST 14Original post

With my newly purchased 03 tip c2, with 50,000 miles. I have found that the ride is a little bouncier than my liking. I went to proteknic today . They recommended the pss9's but that is a little out of my budget. They both suggested the bilstein sport shocks and keep the oem springs. They said it would it make a noticebale improvement. He went to add that the original oem shocks wear out between 30 and 50 thousand miles. Anyone have experience with this setup. Also going to add the fabspeed cold air kit.

Buyer backed out and never sent money? Very good setup for the street with a good ride and better handling over stock, for the money it's hard to bet this setup. Waaaaay better than just lowering springs on porsche stock struts. PM me interested. Russ
