Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi all I have a 1999 996. I am buying new wheels (EOM) that are 8X18 and 10x18 The original wheels were 7 1/2 in front. On tire rack ..if i put in a 1999 to 2001 it lists the sizes as 225/40/18 and 265/35/18 if i put in a 2002 it changes the size of the rear to 285/30/18... Why??? all years used a 10 inch rear... and it does not change the front size though it expands by 1/2 inch... The car is lowered 1 inch with H/R sport springs and I plan on using 15mm spacers on all 4... Do you guys have tire size recomendations that will give the most aggressive stance without rubbing or other issues??? Thanks in advance!!!!! j

POST 2Original post
