Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Porsche dealer gets paid seamlessly to me, and they cover dealer repair rates.
Leading evidence: 'Repair rates' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Repair rates' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Congratulations, you are going to love it. You are keeping the 944 right? It's a great combination of Porsche's I promise you. I have 944 S, for a fun Sunday drive, and the 996 for a thrashing Sunday drive. Enjoy it in good health!!
Ah, most importantly--I'll bring my EZ pass! Thanks for reminding me!
I will be selling my 944 - keeping 2 Porsches isn't in the budget, and I really don't like driving the 944 anymore. I need more creature comfort, which is why I am buying this 996!
Beauty of NJ roads is the 65 mph speed limit, which means I can go 75 with no trouble - rear spoiler engaging and everything!
Also, thanks to Rennlist, and Renntech, I already purchased two replacement ignition switches at $14 each on ebay! Will replace the one in my future car ASAP!
e-z pass and a good radar detector.
hope the weather is good for you.
It will be one of the most memorable rides ever. oh....that is until you get going on some twisty roads.
Enjoy!!
It's all in a thread titled "Nice Arctic C2 on Long Island"....some photos are there as well.
Radar detector is built into the dash...but I don't know how to use it yet!
Well, until you hit the GSP you probably don't have to worry about going too fast. Traffic on Long Island and through Staten Island is usually brutal on a Friday night. And depending on what time you hit the GSP things could be equally slow there. At least it isn't summer yet. If it was, you would have one long slow trip home.
congrats and good luck. youre gonna love it... but you already know that.
i would avoid going thru the city if at all poss but being that youre in bayonne(i think), i suppose gw isnt an option? i would try not hitting the lincoln before 8pm. maybe have dinner in LI before you head out... going cross town(east side - west side) is brutal i think from 4pm-7pm due to rush hour traffic and the theater crowd.
enjoy the drive!
Ha, yeah. I'll sleep easier AFTER I pick the car up knowing I have a warranty. My option is to get one year of coverage, or, spend another $400 and get two years (like a CPO).
I figure one year should be long enough to get the bugs worked out of a low milage car that might have been sitting too long. On the other hand, for another $400, I would have 2 years of coverage. This is with GE AWS warranty service. Covers all major parts with a $200 deductible, including electronics and seals. $1575 for one year, $2100 for 2. This is only available from a dealer when you buy the car. Porsche dealer gets paid seamlessly to me, and they cover dealer repair rates.
What should I do?
Congrats! I just picked up my c2 artic as well a few weeks ago, loving it! As far as warranty goes I did not opt to get one at the time I bought it due to having Porsche check it out but I was told I can come back later and get it as well. Good luck and have fun!
What would I do? Get the one year and spend the other $400 on mods. Why....for piece of mind and comfort knowing tha IF anything should within that one year that I am covered.
