If the speakers, by the rear seats, are woofers, would it be ok to disconnect those speakers cables and connect them to a powered Bazooka?

Rear speakers are stock and dont sound too bad with decent power going through them....if I replace them, I will use a Coax speaker....Focal makes one...The rears are fill only and i like the fact that its mostly mids.

Hi Guys:
I have a 99 911 2c coupe. It has 6 speakers (2 in dash, 2 on the doors and 2 by the back seats). Anybody knows what size speakers are each of them,
does it has tweeters? If the speakers, by the rear seats, are woofers, would it be ok to disconnect those speakers cables and connect them to a powered Bazooka?
Planning on installing a Pioneer head unit, can the factory amplifier still be used? Any pin output diagram?

There is a thread somewhere about what size speakers you have. SorryI'm to lazy to find it right now after the dinner I had.
Bazooka? I'm thinking you could do that but I think you will want to use the rear speakers. I found the rears help add more depth. Because the speakers suck so bad
I had a Pioneer unit installed and the factory amp can be used. You will have to cut wires for that.
The pin output diagram for the amp will be in your radio manual that should be in the car. It's at the back of it.
Try a search using "newport996" the thread is titled "aftermarket stereo upgrade". His stereo is incredible and he was kind enough to include pictures. I'm using his information to upgrade my stereo.
If you have not found it....I used the Focal 165 V3E 3 way system...The stock sizes are 4" mid in dash, 1" tweeter in dash and 5.25 inch door driver....they call it a woofer, but its hardly that...lol...I was able to get a 6.5" slim woofer into the door. The rear speakers are the same as the dash....a 4" driver and a 1" tweeter. Not sure if you can get a bazooka in there....maybe with lots of mods but its not very deep....there is stuff behaind there...especially in my cab....maybe a coupe has more room. The factory amp is WEAK...you would probably have better sound directly from the head unit....but better yet get a decent amp to drive your new speakers....here is my upgrade list....
