Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am a 2000 cab owner enjoying the @##% out of my car here in LA. Today had a strange problem ...parked the car put the top up..it failed to latch (the latch on the header repeatedly cycled, engaged, cycled again...and again etc ) I released the top actuation button with the latch in place then closed the front windows with the individual buttons but was not able to raise the rear windows. Is this an alignment problem or a possible computer/microswitch problem?, your thoughts are appreciated..

I am having the same problem. The local dealer realligned it via the computer and it worked for a few days and went back to not closing. I have to pull the top down with my hand and hold it til the little thing latches. I will take it back to the dealer for more work. The dealer was sure the calibration would fix this erratic behavoir and it did for a few day. cabman
