Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

22 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm thinking of getting Aerokit-I side skirts and maybe a GT3 bumper for my 2001 C2. I don't really like the taco wing but would like a more aggressive look for the car. Anybody with examples they feel like sharing? TIA!

POST 2Original post

Jackson's 01 GT3 front bumper and side skirts, Misha GT2-Style rear wing.

POST 4Original post

Here's a few on my Arena Red 2000 996 CAB. Enjoy!!! MkI (GT3) Front and sides.

POST 5Original post

Dell, I think this is the frist time I've seen a picture of your car. Looks great man!

POST 6Original post

Thanks Kirb! Knowing what kind of picture ****** troll these boards I could possibly be persuaded to post more .......anybody seen Tim???

POST 7Original post

Kirb, where can I get the same Aero kit and wing for my 99. "Jacksons", is just the look I want for my 99. Thanks.... Rick

POST 8Original post

Hey Rick, give the shop a call they can get you prices for all the parts you need. Just tell them like "Jackson's" car. [phone removed] Thanks

POST 10Original post

Dell - Here I am! I've been up to my a$$ in work lately... 12+ hour days working on '06 budgets. Plus, my three younger sisters are flying in from San Antonio tonight for a long weekend visit, so we have also been doing the "let's get tthe house ready" thing. BTW - Good pics of the car!

POST 12Original post

It is the GT3 MkII factory splitter. I did an extensive write up over on Renntech about the install. http://www.renntech.org/forums/index...topic=4095&hl=

POST 13Original post

Very cool thanks!!! My next mod Did you use 996 505 986 92 or 996 505 986 91

POST 14Original post

92 since the 91 is esentially the same and WAY PRICEY since it is a Cup spoiler lip. Same lip more expensive.

POST 15Original post

I am just curious, I have seen the part 996 505 986 00 G2X "996 GT3 Front Lip Spoiler" which also appears to be the same part. It was offered for $78.00 which sounded low to me. Do any of you know if this is the same part?

POST 16Original post

Take a look at the Renntech thread I posted. The lip you are talking about is correctly priced but it is the small lip spoiler not the large cup spoiler. (see attached picture)

POST 17Original post

996 505 986 92 add 01C at the end Sunset could not find just... 996 505 986 92 $207 was my price + Shipping.

POST 18Original post

Thanks Dell. One other question I have about the GT3 front bumpers, I noticed that on some of the bumpers the section just below where the front plate is supposed to go is an open space and on others it is closed. With the cars that have the center portion open it looks like there is a radiator benind the bumper. Does the fact that some are open and some are closed have any impact on engine temp or handeling?

POST 19Original post

Tiptronic cars have the third radiator you are speaking of. Others have converted their 6spd's with the third radiator Mod. You can buy the parts from the dealer or Gert at Carnewal sells the "kit".

POST 20Original post

My car is a tip but it has the closed front center area. Should I try to open that space up (is that possible or do I need a new front bumper).

POST 21Original post

Dell - Your "stones" must be huge if that's the spoiler for your cup! You da MAN!!

POST 22Original post

Tim, you are back and in rare form once again! There's the Tim we all have grown to love FYI....we should be in Charlotte and Raleigh in the very near future (job interviews).
