This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a 02 C4 Cab and I am thinking of putting wheel spacers on it, primarily for aesthetics. I have the 18 225/40 on the front & the 18 285/30 on the rear. I am leaning towards H&R 7mm spacers all around. Has anyone had problems with wheel balance after installing spacers? Does anybody out there with experience with these? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

POST 2Original post

5 is as big as you want in the front, or you'll have scraping when you try to park. I have 5 in front and 15 in back works great. Some say 15 in the rear looks too wide, but I like it. Links on my sig. Click on the car and then up to the gallery. Some of the pix are with 15mm fronts. I tried them and switched to 5's.

POST 3Original post

i put on my '03 coupe the porsche oem spacers that give the car the same stance as the GT3 - thats 5mm front and 17mm rear. i had 225/40 on the front and 285/30 on the rear(came from factory like that) and even lowered it with the ROW M030 and did not have any probs whatsoever. The only slightly detrimental thing that spacers do to the car are wear out the wheel bearings at say 100K miles instead of them naturally wearing out at 125-150K miles. This is what the head porsche tech told me. It does not make one slight bit of difference to the allignment be careful of aftermarket spacers as a couple of people here in atlanta have actually had aftermarket ones crack on them. it was a little extra money, but i went with the porsche oem ones. call it peace of mind

POST 4Original post

Lee, I have to concur with whoever said that the 15mm in back look a little wide. It seems to impact the sweep of the fender, potentially because it's not as flared as the GT3 and yet you are spacing almost as wide as that car. The 15mm spacer up front is definitely too wide. 5mm seems the right way to go.

POST 5Original post

Yeah probably right, but not enough to take the $ hit. The front was worth it tho.

POST 6Original post

Have to agree. Don't particularly like the 17mm spacer look. I have the 5mm TEQ set all the way around.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the feedback. I suppose I'll go with 5mm all around.
